Researcher
Chris Stawski is a researcher at YHouse. He is a trailblazing program architect, strategist, and consultant for leading academic experts, universities, and nonprofit organizations. He has helped to design and develop major initiatives with intellectual entrepreneurs at top institutions, such as Berkeley, Cambridge, Chicago, Penn, Stanford, and Yale, and collaborated with the White House and multiple philanthropies to advance scientific breakthroughs.
Chris is known for his efforts to seed and develop new fields of inquiry across the sciences and the humanities; innovate through novel grant competitions; catalyze and incubate the formation of new centers, institutes, and nonprofit organizations; and support high-impact, cross-disciplinary, ‘blue-sky’ thinking and discovery.
Chris is a High Honors graduate of Swarthmore College, with a master’s degree from Harvard University and a doctoral degree from the University of Pennsylvania, specializing in methodological issues in the study of religion at the intersection of the sciences and the humanities. He is currently a Visitor in the Program in Interdisciplinary Studies at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton.
