Catherine Chung is the author of Forgotten Country, and is currently working on her second novel, The Tenth Muse, forthcoming from Ecco Press. She has published in The New York Times, Granta, and The Rumpus, among others, and is the recipient of a Literature Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. She has also received grants and awards from The MacDowell Colony, Yaddo, Civitella Ranieri Foundation, and won an Honorable Mention for the PEN/Hemingway Award.
With a background in math, she is interested in exploring the connections between art, science and technology. She also edits the Guernica/PEN Flash series for Guernica Magazine and the PEN American Center.
